LONG LIVE PHILIPPINES
Every year, we,
Filipinos celebrate the independence day of our country during the 12th
day of the month of June by putting the Philippine flag on top of vehicles,
houses, buildings, etc. Our country was proclaimed independent in the year 1898
by Ambrosio Rianzares Bautista who wrote the Declaration of Independence
Document. This celebration reflects the respect of the modern Filipinos by the
older Filipinos who were involved to this nightmare which is the colonization
of the country, and also to the heroes because of the sufferings they have been
through with the hands of the Spaniards. For me as a student and also a
Filipino citizen, it is good that we younger Filipinos are still looking back
to the greatness of the older Filipinos by this celebration which is the
Independence Day.
By keeping this celebration of our country we
can still look back and introduce the greatness of the Filipinos back then to
the next generation of Filipinos by God’s grace. That is why we were and still
celebrating Independence Day of our country. This is the 121st years
of celebrating, and counting.
